The man whose arrest led to the downfall of former Suffolk Police Chief James Burke is once again in trouble with the law.
Christopher Loeb is accused of taking a wallet from inside a car in the parking lot of Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson on Saturday.
Police say Loeb also took his mother's car without permission later in the day.
As News 12 has reported, Loeb stole a duffel bag from Burke. Burke later assaulted Loeb and is currently serving a 46-month prison sentence.
