Vigil held for 2 women slain in Elizabeth on Halloween

Friends and family of two women killed in Elizabeth on Halloween night held a vigil in their honor Friday.
Rah-Zhane Lee, 22, of Roselle, and Shaniquah Richardson, 24, of Elizabeth, were shot and killed near Second and Court streets. They were taken to the hospital but were pronounced dead a short time later. No arrests have been made.
Loved ones held a candlelight vigil at Jackson Park in Elizabeth, the site where the two women were killed. The women were said to be best friends.
"Everyone loved my sister and Rha-Zhane. She's my sister’s shadow,” says Ashley Bethea, Richardson’s sister.
Richardson was the mother to an almost 1-year-old girl.
“[Her daughter’s] birthday is next week…She’ll never know who her mother was,” Bethea says.
A motive for the shooting was not known.
Union County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information about the killings. Anyone with any information is asked to call 908-654-8477 (TIPS).
