Long Islanders grow impatient with PSEG amid outage

Some Long Islanders have been left without power for more than 36 hours after Sunday's powerful storm that soaked the area.
As of 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, PSEG said it had restored service to more than 107,000 customers -- more than 99 percent of those impacted.
The outage disabled Bellmore resident Susan Ferraro's sump pump, leading to an overflow in her bathtub and toilet.
She also had to throw away almost all the food in her refrigerator. On top of all that, Ferraro is caring for her husband who has cancer and diabetes.
"I have to ask people if I can stay with them," she said. "It's not fair."
