Dentist Daniel Rubinshtein recently hosted a free event in Union Square where he offered cleanings to those who could not afford them.

Rubinshtein also teamed up with a stylist who gave free haircuts to patients after their teeth cleaning.

He says he came from humble beginnings and was raised by his two parents who immigrated to the U.S. from Eastern Europe.

"It's important to give back," he says, "I was always taught to give back and I feel that giving back is the best way to reward yourself. I think that is why we are here on this earth; to give back."

Rubinshtein is a dentist at Bensonhurst Dental in Brooklyn.
