Southampton Town Justice

Kooperstein, 68, of Bridgehampton, is running on the Democratic, Republican, Conservative, Independence and Working Families party lines. She is the first woman to be elected Southampton Town justice, where she has served since 1993. Kooperstein also presides over the Regional East End Intervention Court for the past 13 years. She maintains a private practice specializing in real estate. Kooperstein received her undergraduate degree from New York University and her law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1985. Kooperstein is the immediate past president of the Suffolk County Magistrates Association and belongs to the New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association, NAACP, Irish-American Society and the League of Women Voters.

Wilson, 56, of Southampton is running on the Democratic, Republican, Conservative and Independence party lines. She is running for her fifth term. Before that, Wilson was in the district attorney’s office in Suffolk County from 1991 to 1997 and was in private practice for a few years. She received her undergraduate degree from Fordham University and her law degree from Touro Law Center. Wilson was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1993. She was one of the original members of the East End Advisory Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Women’s Bar Association and the New York State Magistrates’ Association.
