New details have been revealed in the proposed plan to build an Islanders arena at Belmont Park.

The proposed arena would host about 150 event per year, including Islanders games and concerts, according to Newsday.

The space would also be close to the Belmont's Long Island Rail Road station.

As of now, the train stop is only open during horse racing season, but if the plan goes through, the station would need to operate full-time.
