Mastic man convicted of sexually abusing girl

A Mastic man has been convicted of sexually abusing a young girl for five years.

Guadencio Chino, 53, began victimizing the little girl when she was 8 years old, according to prosecutors.

Investigators were notified when the family's pediatrician learned of the abuse.

Chino is being held without bail and is expected to be sentenced on Nov. 15.
