Netflix reports its earnings after the closing bell. Can the company repeat its monster success from last quarter when it added 5 million new subscribers?

Analysts expect growth may have slowed down a bit with no major hits in the last quarter.

Meanwhile, Tesla fired hundreds of engineers, managers, salespeople and factory workers after "an annual performance review" of its more than 33,000 employees. Tesla wants to expand production of its new mass-market car, but meeting that goal could now be unlikely.   

Lastly, Thomas the Tank Engine is getting two new female characters.  Thomas the Tank has been around for 30 years. As part of the overhaul, Thomas will visit real countries for the first time and the animation will move faster.
