Hofstra student injured after falling off elevated walkway

Police say a Hofstra University student is in serious condition after falling 30-feet off an elevated walkway.
Police say the unidentified 20-year old student was riding his skateboard across the unispan near Fulton Avenue.
The elevated walkways over Hempstead Turnpike connect the two sides of campus.
Police say the student hit a protective railing around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, flipped over and fell down 30-feet.
The student is hospitalized with a fractured skull.
