A BMW slammed through the front of an Island Park ice cream parlor Friday.
Surveillance video shows it slamming through the front window of Hope's Land of Candy and Ice Cream around 3:20 p.m.
Co-owner Joan Cohen says she thought she heard an explosion.
"I turned around to see what it was, and then I said, there's a car in my store," she recalls. "It was crazy."
The shop's owner says it's amazing that no one was hurt. Fifteen minutes before the crash, she says her husband's cousin was standing right where the car slammed through. The car also missed hitting pedestrians outside by around 10 minutes, she says.
Hope Cohen, another co-owner, is also a special education teacher. She pointed out to her students that Friday was Friday the 13th.
"But it turned out lucky, because no one was injured," she says.
It's not clear what led to the crash. Police say no charges have been filed.
