A judge has declared a mistrial in the stabbing death of a Central Islip man.
Christopher James, of Binghamton, was charged in the 2010 killing of Kevin Pierson in Pierson's Central Islip apartment.
During the trial this week, a juror got sick and was unable to continue.
The judge then declared the mistrial when neither James nor his attorney would allow a substitute juror to step in.
