The official word from the Islanders team co-owner is that the future of the team is Belmont Park and not the Nassau Coliseum.

John Ledecky says the Islanders' "single focus" is building an arena at Belmont.

Among the other bidders competing to develop a facility at Belmont is the soccer team the Yankees own.

Ledecky says the commissioner of the National Hockey League has already decided the Coliseum isn't "viable" and is "not being considered."
