Huntington man rescued after kayak capsizes

HUNTINGTON -

A Huntington man was rescued by police Sunday after he was stranded in the Long Island Sound for approximately 17 hours. 

Police say the man was fishing in his kayak when it capsized Saturday evening.

He was rescued around 12 p.m. Sunday about a mile off of Norwalk, Connecticut after his roommate reported him missing.
