CLIFTON -

Chevy's Fresh Mex in Clifton and Linden offered a 4-pound taco in celebration of National Taco Day.

The meal was only available Wednesday and customers who were able to finish the massive taco were given a T-shirt and won free tacos for a year.

“The 4-pound taco [has] half a pound of tortillas, one pound of chicken or beef, one pound of lettuce, one pound of cheese, and half a pound of pico de gallo…all in a big plate or big shell,” says Chevy’s Clifton general manager Rob Mello.

The restaurant also offered a 60-ounce margarita that will be available year-round.

Mello says that at least two people were able to complete the taco challenge.
