Police: Drunken driver crashed into Bay Shore home

BAY SHORE -

A man was arrested for allegedly driving drunk after he crashed into a Bay Shore home early Saturday morning.

Police say 26-year-old Bay Shore resident Christopher Dowd was driving a Volkswagen Jetta on Tern Court shortly before 4:30 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a house.

No one inside the home was injured.

Dowd, who was also uninjured, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, according to police.
