Online gun threat sparks scare at Central Islip H.S.

News 12 Long Island has learned that there was a gun threat aimed at a Suffolk high school earlier today.
Police say a Central Islip High School student posted a picture of a gun on Snapchat and the words ‘Don’t come on Friday.’
According to police, they immediately investigated it and determined the gun was an airsoft gun, and the student says he did not intend to hurt anyone.
However, a few teachers in the school tell News 12 they are upset and claim the school never notified them or parents about the threat.
News 12 reached out to Central Islip High School and is waiting to hear back.
