Suffolk detective pleads not guilty in BWI case

A Suffolk police detective accused of boating while intoxicated was released Wednesday after pleading not guilty.

Police say four people were injured when Christopher Koltzan crashed his boat off Hampton Bays in August.

Koltzkan has been suspended without pay by the Suffolk Police Department.

Koltzkan is due back in court in November.
