Police are hoping surveillance footage of a brawl inside a Burger King in Valley Stream will help them identify and arrest the attackers.
The footage from Aug. 22 at 5 p.m. was taken from inside the fast food restaurant on West Merrick Road.
Police say the melee began when a group of teens, five boys and two girls, started banging on the restaurant's side door – wanting to be let in. Police say the victims were sitting inside and refused to open the door.
"They then entered the Burger King through the front door and proceeded to…where the victims were seated. At this time, an argument ensued and the subjects proceeded to assault the victims," says Detective Maureen Roach.
Police say the two 16-year-olds were punched and kicked repeatedly. Both had suffered cuts to the head, and one was knocked unconscious.
Authorities are urging anyone with more information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
