Sloatsburg unveils new travel destination

A new destination is attracting visitors to the Hudson Valley
A peaceful fountain, a fresh market, and a fancy food truck are just a few of the features of the new Valley Rock Inn. Tucked off Route 17 in Sloatsburg, developer Michael Bruno is hoping to make it a destination for people to come and enjoy nature in the Hudson Valley. “It's right in the middle of 70,000 acres of parkland. We have Harriman State Park on one side and Sterling Forest on the other,” says Bruno.
The complex has a bike shop where you can rent a bike and access tons of trails. By October, there will be three guest cottages that people can rent for a getaway.
Several old houses and barns on the property were restored during the 18-month project. Still in the works are a hotel, pool and spa and gym. “I think it's enhances what Sloatsburg has -- which is beautiful pristine parkland,” says Bruno.
