Residents on alert after second noose found in Brooklyn

Residents in Brooklyn are concerned after two nooses were discovered in the last week.
The first noose was found hanging from a tree along Eastern Parkway near the Brooklyn Museum. The second noose was discovered Thursday at a library in Bed-Stuy.
A spokesperson for the library says the Brooklyn Public Library is a welcoming space for all New Yorkers and that officials continue to be diligent in preserving an atmosphere of inclusivity and safety.
Residents are reminded of the hate a noose represents and say the discovery is very disturbing.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the incidents.
