A stabbing inside a Levittown home left an 83-year-old woman dead and her 24-year-old grandson in serious condition Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Nassau police say they found the man on the floor in the foyer of a North Newbridge Road home just before 2 p.m. He had multiple cuts to both arms. A police ambulance brought him to a hospital in serious condition.
The officers searched the house and found the woman, who also had multiple cuts across her body. A police medic pronounced her dead at the scene.
Detective Lt. Richard LeBrun says there is a second potential crime scene on Blackbird Lane, just a few blocks away, where police are interviewing "persons of interest."
Some neighbors told News 12 that they suspected drug activity in the home.
