A cab driver from Selden is accused of driving while high on cocaine with a passenger in her backseat.
Police say Patricia Piacente's yellow taxi was swerving on the LIE in Roslyn Heights Saturday. Officers say that when they tried to pull her over, she would not stop.
When she finally did stop, officials say she refused to get out of the cab and pushed officers away.
Investigators say they found heroin and drug paraphernalia in Piacente's backpack.
Police documents indicate that she works for a company called Port Transportation in Middle Island. News 12 visited the company's office, but they refused to answer any questions about Piacente.
Piacente, a mother of four, was ordered held on $7,500 bail at her arraignment Sunday. She's due back in court on Wednesday.
