Far Rockaway man charged in West Hempstead hit-and-run

WEST HEMPSTEAD -

A Far Rockaway man is accused of leaving the scene of a crash that seriously injured a rabbi in West Hempstead.

Police say Benitez Rodolfo was arrested on Friday and charged in the hit-and-run.

Detectives say Rodolfo slammed into Rabbi Jordon Kelemer on Hempstead Avenue in December and took off.

It happened in front of the Young Israel Jewish Center.
