Long Beach collection:
The City of Long Beach, which suffered similar devastation after Superstorm Sandy in 2012, has established a donation center for the next two weeks to collect items. Long Beach Councilman Scott J. Mandel launched the effort and the Long Beach Auxiliary Police Department & City of Long Beach Fire Department will be accepting donations for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.

Residents of the Third Congressional District can drop off items at Suozzi's Huntington and Queens offices to be delivered to Long Beach and included in the packages that will be sent to Texas.
