Police: Man broke into Nesconset home to do laundry

<p>According to police, a priest from Holy Cross Church arrived home at approximately 8:15 p.m. to his residence on Old Nichols Road and observed a man in his house doing laundry.</p>

Police: Man broke into Nesconset home to do laundry
Police say a man is accused of breaking into a Nesconset home to do laundry.
According to police, a priest from Holy Cross Church arrived home at approximately 8:15 p.m. to his residence on Old Nichols Road and observed a man in his house doing laundry.
The man, identified as Philip Magalhaes, fled on foot when he saw the priest, officials say.
Magalhaes left his wallet and personal items in the residence and canine officers were able to locate  Magalhaes a short time later.
Magalhaes, 37, of Nesconset, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass. Police say he also has two active warrants.
