Police: Pedestrian struck, seriously injured in N. Great River

Police say a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a car in North Great River on Sunday night.
According to police, Jaquelyn Hannan, 52, was crossing Connetquot Avenue at Cedarhurst Street when she was struck by a vehicle heading northbound.
Hannan, of Gret River, was transported with serious injuries to Southside Hospital.
The driver of the car, Dominick Padurano, 70, of Bohemia was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, and detectives are asking anyone with information to call the 631-854-8352.
