Police: 73-year-old Farmingdale man attacked at front door

A 73-year-old Farmingdale man was attacked at his front door early Sunday morning, officials say.

They say Pedro Callejas attacked the victim at his home on East Parkway just before 4 a.m.

Callejas bit, punched and choked the man, officials say.

News 12 is told the victim’s family members managed to stop the suspect and hold him down until police arrived.

Officials say the victim suffered cuts and bruises.

Further details surrounding the incident were not immediately available.
