Man fatally struck by car in Central Islip, driver arrested

A man was fatally struck by a car early Sunday morning in Central Islip, and police say the driver was arrested.
The incident happened on East Suffolk Avenue near Powell Avenue just after 2 a.m.
Police say a 30-year-old man who was walking along the road was struck by a Toyota Prius that was heading east.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.
The driver, identified as 36-year-old Sabrina Cadogan, of Central Islip, remained at the scene,  but police say she was driving with a suspended license. She was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle.
