SPCA: Chickens beheaded in apparent 'ritualistic killing'

GREAT RIVER -

The Suffolk SPCA says several chickens were found beheaded in Great River Friday in an apparent religious ritualistic killing.

The animals were found at West Brook Pond in what authorities believe was an animal sacrifice. Investigators also found fruits and vegetables at the scene.

The Suffolk SPCA is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
