Hit-and-run driver strikes motorized bike in Patchogue

PATCHOGUE -

Police say they are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a motorized bike Thursday night in Patchogue.

They say the incident happened around 7:15 p.m. near South Ocean Avenue and Smith Street.

Officials say the victim was reportedly left bleeding in the road and was rushed to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue.

They say that person is expected to survive.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
