Two people, including a volunteer firefighter, were hurt in a raging fire in Centereach early this morning.
Fire officials tell News 12 that the flames broke out in a garage on Tyburn Lane around 5:30 a.m.
The flames then spread to a car in front of the home.
News 12 was told a resident was hurt trying to save a car. A Setauket firefighter was hurt and taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
Arson detectives are looking the cause, but say it appears non-criminal.
