Gov. Andrew Cuomo was on Long Island Wednesday to announce improvements planned for the Jones Beach West Bath House.
Officials say it will be transformed into an adventure park next year, complete with a zip line and rope courses.
The announcement is part of the governor's $900 million plan to modernize the entire state park system.
This year, The Landing at Jones Beach reopened. Official say the refurbished dining hall has undergone numerous renovations since originally opening in 1931.
"To now see it coming back to its full glory is really something special," says Gov. Cuomo.
A gaming area is also new this season, complete with stone ping pong tables, cornhole sets and bocce. Equipment can be rented for a small deposit.
