Officials are offering a $5,000 reward to find whoever left dead dogs outside a Nassau animal shelter.
On Monday, two pit bull bodies were found in a travel crate outside North Shore Animal League in Port Washington.
According to officials, it is believed the male and female were about 3-years-old and abandoned between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.
It doesn't appear the dogs were abused.
The reward is being offered by the Nassau SPCA.
