Police: 1 dead, 1 injured in Brookhaven crash

Police say a man is dead and a woman suffered serious injuries following a crash in Brookhaven early this morning.
According to police, Gregory Goodley, 45, of Shirley, was driving on Montauk Highway when his vehicle crossed into the westbound lanes and struck another car around 2:15 a.m.
Goodley was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant.
The female driver of the other vehicle was trapped inside for 30 minutes before being extricated. The driver was identified as Rebecca Davis, 22, of Bellport.
Davis was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries.
Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
