Police pursue 2 cars on LIE from Ronkonkoma to Commack

Sources say police pursued two drivers on the Long Island Expressway from Ronkonkoma to Commack early Friday morning.

The chase started when highway patrol tried to stop a car near exit 60 around 1:30 a.m.

They ended up chasing the drivers who both took off heading west.

The chase reportedly ended on the LIE near exit 53 in Commack.

Witnesses say two different men were seen being taken into custody by police.

Both vehicles finally stopped when officers reportedly used "stop sticks" to deflate the drivers' tires.
