Jury deadlocked in double murder case against Manorville contractor

RIVERHEAD -

The jury remains deadlocked in the double murder case against a Manorville contractor, but the judge has ordered them to keep deliberating.

The jury is deciding the fate of John Bittrolff.

Prosecutors say DNA evidence links Bittrolff to the murders of two prostitutes, Colleen McNamee and Rita Tangredi in the early 1990s.

Bittrolff maintains his innocence.
