Fireworks safety: How to prevent injuries, fires
It is one week away from the Fourth of July and officials are giving tips on how to keep the family safe.
Along with food, family and fun, comes fireworks, but they are illegal and dangerous when not left to professionals.
Suffolk officials are reminding the public of legal ramifications, bodily injuries and material destruction that can occur when possessing or using fireworks in the area.
Police say their DWI and BWI enforcement teams will be out in full force this holiday.
