An armored truck went up in flames Friday night in Suffolk.
The burning vehicle and the line of burning fuel was located on the westbound service road of the Long Island Expressway in the Holbrook-Ronkonkoma area around 10:30 p.m.
Police say only the driver was inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.
News 12 is told that driver smelled smoke and pulled over, at which point the truck went up in flames.
The driver was not injured.
There is no word on how much money may have been lost or what caused the fire.
