Man accused of DWI after crashing into Franklin Square stores

A Franklin Square man is facing DWI charges after slamming into a building Saturday and injuring his passengers.

Police say 23-year-old Michele Masci crashed into Brews Brothers Tavern on Franklin Avenue just after 1 a.m. Saturday.

The crash also damaged a neighboring Allstate insurance storefront and a utility pole.   

Investigators say Masci injured his shoulder, one of his passengers had lung injuries and the other suffered a fractured rib.

Masci is being charged with DWI, assault, criminal mischief and reckless driving.
