Child hospitalized after being hit by car in Old Bethpage

A child is in the hospital this morning after being hit by a car in Old Bethpage.

It happened on Winding Road Saturday afternoon.

Police tell Newsday the 7-year-old may have run out into the street and is in serious condition.

News 12 was told that the driver stayed at the scene, and no charges have been filed.
