The State Board of Regents announced Monday that kids in school will have fewer days of Common Core tests next Spring.
They say math and English tests will be cut from three days to two days for each subject.
Chancellor Betty Rosa says it not only reduces the time kids take tests, but returns valuable instructional time to our teachers.
Officials say the change comes after 20 percent of the parents in New York had kids "opt out" of Common Core tests.
