Hempstead man to face rape charges in Manhattan

HEMPSTEAD -

Police say a Hempstead man accused of exposing himself to a half dozen women in Garden City is now facing rape charges in Manhattan.

Prosecutors say Cameron McDermott raped and sexually assaulted two women on separate occasions and recorded the alleged attacks on video.

Investigators say the incidents happened in 2010 and 2013 in the victims' Manhattan apartments.

The videos were found during a court-authorized search of McDermott's computers and USB drivers after he was arrested in January.
