JERICHO -

Police say a Middle Island man is accused of DWI and running from police on the Long Island Expressway.

According to police, an officer pulled over Jordan Randolph, saying he was swerving between eastbound lanes near Exit 40 in Jericho around 4:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say the 37-year-old was slurring his speech, smelled of alcohol, pushed the officer away and ran across the LIE and into oncoming traffic.

Randolph faced a judge on DWI charges and has a previous DWI conviction.
