PATCHOGUE -

Police say 10 people were arrested and one vehicle was seized during a sobriety checkpoint Friday night in Patchogue, conducted as the holiday weekend got underway.

Suffolk police and New York state police set up the checkpoint from 11 p.m. to shortly before 3 a.m. at Waverly Plaza on the North Service Road. A total of 757 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.

A vehicle was also seized due to a prior DWI conviction, police say.

The 10 suspects were each scheduled to be arraigned in Central Islip on Saturday.
