Stunt pilot shows off moves ahead of Bethpage Air Show
News 12's Christine Insinga took a thrill ride of a lifetime Tuesday when she tagged along with a stunt pilot from this weekend's Bethpage Air Show at Jones Beach.
"We're not gonna hurt you, but we're gonna flip you and spin you and roll you and show you the Earth from the opposite direction," said David Windmiller, of Melville.
As Windmiller flew, he inverted his aircraft and left Insinga hanging for a good 25 seconds. He even gave the veteran reporter the plane's controls temporarily.
Contrary to what many had thought, Insigna did not get motion sickness during her trip – which was finished off with positive-G rolls and a loop.
They later landed safely at Republic Airport in Farmingdale.
The Bethpage Air Show takes place this Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
