A Freeport man is accused of holding his girlfriend hostage inside his home in Freeport.

According to police, Quanne Tomlinson refused to open the door for officers when they arrived around 9 p.m. Saturday.

Police were responding to a call for a woman inside the home who said she was threatened with a gun and being held hostage.

Tomlinson finally opened the door around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at the home on Nassau Avenue and was arrested, police say.

No gun was recovered at the scene and no one was hurt.
