Ride for Life: Chris Pendergast leads 20th Annual ALS Ride for Life

He was told he had three years to live - 24 years ago. A Miller Place man decided to spend whatever time he had left fighting to raise awareness and money to find a cure for ALS.

Since it started, 77 patients who took part in "Ride for Life" lost their battle with ALS. 
About 15 new people are diagnosed with ALS every day in America.
