Forecast: Rain clears by overnight, sun and clouds Thursday

EDISON -

New Jersey saw mostly cloudy skies with periods of heavy rain Wednesday.

News 12 New Jersey Meteorologist Dave Curren says that the rain may last off and on throughout the evening. Periods of heavy fog are also expected in some areas.

Wednesday’s overnight hours may see scattered rain showers with temperatures cooling into the low-50s.

The rain should be gone by Thursday, with a mix of sun and clouds expected. High temperatures may reach the upper-60s.

Friday could see cloudy skies with more rain late in the day. Temperatures are expected to reach the low-60s.

Saturday should see a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures in the upper-60s.

Sunday should see mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the upper-50s and low-60s.
