Forecast: Rainy Sunday on tap with wintry mix possible in spots

A system will bring rain to the Garden State overnight and through the day Sunday, and parts of the state could see a wintry mix as well.

News 12 meteorologists say increasing clouds will see rain developing overnight. Lows will be around 42 degrees.

As temps drop, some northwestern parts of the state could see a wintry mix early Sunday morning, and that could lead to icing on the roadways.

The rain will continue for much of the day Sunday before tapering off by the evening. Sunday will see daytime high temperatures around 42 degrees.

It clears up for Monday, which will see a mix of sun and clouds and high temperatures around 46 degrees.
