Forecast: Cloudy Monday with scattered sprinkles, highs of 50

Cloudy skies will be overhead to kick off the work week in the Garden State.

News 12 meteorologists say Monday will see cloudy skies and scattered sprinkles or light showers. The high temperature will be 50 degrees.

For Monday night, expect increasing clouds with rain late at night. The temperature will be 44 degrees.

Then on Tuesday, steadier rain is in the forecast, with showers that could be heavy at times through the day. High temperatures will be warmer, near 55 degrees.

It clears up for Wednesday, which will see lots of sunshine and breezy conditions. But temperatures will be cooler, with highs topping out around 43 degrees.
