Forecast: Late-day showers Monday, warmer temps on tap this week

Forget the snow -- New Jersey is set to see some warmer temperatures this week.

First, News 12 meteorologists say Monday will see increasing clouds with late-day rain. The temperature will be 50 degrees.

On Tuesday, expect morning fog and drizzle followed by clearing skies and highs around 67 degrees.

Then for Wednesday, record warmth is possible. Skies will be mostly cloudy and highs could reach 70 degrees. The record for the day of 69 degrees in Newark is from 1953.

It will cool to the upper-40s on Thursday, but temps in the mid- to upper-50s are expected for Friday and Saturday.
